At the Festival you can only pay for drinks, food and any other product by our cash-free system. You can pay with your topped-up wristband or/and your contactless bank card or/and your smartphone.
You can top-up your wristband at the festival venue with cash, a bank card, or with the mobile app. To pay, simply touch the card reading terminal with your wristband. As part of a comfortable, cash-free system, you can pay for everything using your entry wristband. You can already top-up your wristband even before the festival starts with the mobile app and later during the festival you can also top-up with cash or bank card at the festival site, or also with the mobile app. To pay, simply touch the card reading terminal with your wristband.
How to topup your wristband at the festival?
With mobile app
Why? To avoid long lines, use this easy and secure option! You can check your balance and keep track of your history. Also if your wristband is stolen or broken, you can disable it at any time in the app.
For this you need:
- a valid bank card that can be used for online transactions (VISA and Mastercard only)
- Wristband already on your wrist so you can add your bank card to the application
- PIN code (You can find your PIN on the small piece of paper you got with your wristband. Or you can use the last 4 characters of your ticket number. If you don’t have any of these, just visit any ticket or Festipay helpdesk so we can help!)
How?
- download the free festival app
- follow the instructions in the Wristband menu. The amount topped-up will be added to your balance automatically at your next purchase.
Please note: there is a 300 HUF transaction fee after each top-up.
At a Festipay top-up point or top-up Machine
You can top-up your wristband at top-up points throughout the festival. The minimum balance is 500 HUF and the maximum amount that can be added is 320,000 HUF per occasion. Your balance can be topped-up at any time during the event.
You can top-up your wristband with cash or a bank card (there is a 300 HUF top-up fee in each instance).
You can check balance and wristband history with the festival app. You can also check your balance at a Festipay terminal or at a vendor or top-up point by asking the staff.
PIN and mPIN
mPIN code is the code that you create when you add your bank card to the mobile app. You will need it to confirm all bank card top-ups. If you forget your mPIN, it’s ok: after three attempts, you will have to add your bank card to the app once again.
Your PIN code is the code you have to use to verify your wristband. You will get this code at the entrance on a receipt. Or In case you lost it, you can use the last 4 characters of your ticket ID as your PIN. If you don’t have any of these, just visit any ticket or Festipay helpdesk so we can help!)
If your wristband gets lost
You can disable your broken or lost wristband from the app. You can ask for a replacement wristband at any Festipay Helpdesk or at the Problematic Ticket desk by the entrance. Learn everything you need to know about the check-in process HERE.
Remaining Balance
Your personal refund information is visible in your app in the Festipay menu under Refund option. You cannot transfer your remaining balance to another festival. There are 3 options to get your remaining balance from your wristband based on the method of your top-ups:
If your wristband was topped up only with the app
- In-app top-ups will be refunded to your bank card automatically (within 4 weeks counting from the last day of the festival), but cannot be redeemed on site. For an automatic refund of money left on your wristband. The automatic refund costs 300 HUF, so you must have a balance of 300 HUF or more.
If your wristband was topped-up at a top-up point
- On-site top-ups with cash or a card can be redeemed at Top-up points and will not be automatically refunded to your bank card. You can redeem money topped-up on-site at any time during operating hours, the latest being Aug 14, 2019 noon (CEST)) Your balance will be rounded to the nearest 50 HUF (to 50 HUF for amounts ending in 25 to 74 HUF and to 0 HUF for amounts ending in 75 to 24 HUF).
If your wristband was topped-up with the app and at top-up point
- Please follow the instructions in the app in the Festipay menu under Refund option.
You cannot get your remaining balance back from a Festipay Top-up Machine, you must go to a Festipay Top-up point for this.
